Color is present everywhere, at all times in our lives, yet there are moments when it transcends the ordinary and gives us a glimpse of the sublime. Artists and designers have endeavored from the beginning of time to capture these moments, while nature effortlessly provides us with an infinite amount of captivating color phenomena.
The basis of the alchemy of color is being open and present for these experiences. I have been inspired at my core by the power of color ever since I had my first artistic epiphany, during the Monet Retrospective at The Art Institute Of Chicago in 1995, falling into the numinous impression of color experience.
Before we are artists and designers, we are humans, and we all share the experience of color in the core of our beings. Drawing inspiration from color in its striking manifestations is prime motivation to seek out how to harness its secrets. Therefore, the apprentices and adepts of color alchemy seek out this exploration in it's many forms, whether in nature, on the screen or in the gallery, or any momentary glimpse where color asserts its appearance.
